1. Coupon Codes
There are several reasons why your promo code
may not be working. The promo code may have
been associated with a limited time offer that
has expired or could simply have been entered
incorrectly. Please note that only one promo code
may be applied per order and that use of a promo
code denotes knowledge and acceptance of
related terms and conditions. If your promo
code is still not working, please contact our
customer service team, and we will be happy
to assist you.
2. Different Types of Perfume Concentrations
The higher the concentration of fragrance oils, the
longer the scent will last on the skin, and the more
intense the fragrance will be.
Here are the different perfume concentrations,
listed in order of highest to lowest concentration
of fragrance oils. Please note that we only carry
the top 2 concentrations available, Extrait de Parfum
and Eau de Parfum.
Extrait de Parfum: The highest concentration,
typically 30-40% fragrance oils. This is the most
expensive and long-lasting option.
Eau de Parfum: Concentration of 15-20% fragrance
oils. A popular choice, offering good longevity and
intensity.
Eau de Toilette: Concentration of 5-15% fragrance
oils. Lighter and fresher than EdP, often used for
daytime wear.
Eau de Cologne: Concentration of 2-4% fragrance
oils. Very light and refreshing, often used as a splash
or body spray.
Eau Fraiche: The lowest concentration, typically 1-3%
fragrance oils. Very diluted and offers a subtle scent,
often containing more water or alcohol.

Oil-based fragrances wear closer to the skin than
alcohol-based fragrances. Alcohol-based fragrances
are stronger and offer a larger projection radius. If you
prefer a stronger, more powerful fragrance that can fill
a room and be noticed by those around you, you may
prefer alcohol-based fragrances; if you prefer a more
subtle, personal fragrance, perfume oils may be your
best choice.
While formulas are identical across formats, subtle
scent variations may occur. Fragrances may smell
slightly different in different formats -- for example,
in some cases, top notes may be more diffusive
(and stronger) in parfum spray format than in
perfume oil format.
At Glam Fumes, we create handcrafted, small-batch fine
perfumes that blend luxury with skin safety. Our formulations
incorporate a mix of:
Natural Ingredients: We use high-quality absolutes
and essential oils to capture the essence of nature.
Synthetic Ingredients: Carefully selected to enhance
affordability, sustainability, and prolonged scent profiles,
our synthetics allow for unique olfactory experiences not
achievable with natural substances alone.
We source our natural materials from esteemed suppliers in
the perfumery industry who excel in and possess extensive
expertise in acquiring the highest quality natural ingredients.
Many of these suppliers are small businesses that maintain close
relationships with producers and have a deep understanding of
the origins of their materials.
While many fragrances incorporate the use of some natural
ingredients, there are many more synthetic materials available
on a perfumer’s palette, allowing the perfumer more creative
freedom to develop a unique and memorable scent. Synthetic
fragrances are much stronger, longer lasting, and more complex
than all-natural fragrances, as well as being just as safe to use.
Synthetic fragrances are also easier to manufacture as their
components are much more consistent when produced, whereas
natural ingredients can produce unpredictable results, just as
anything in nature would.
We are committed to cruelty-free practices and do not
test our products on animals.
Also, our cruelty-free and vegan perfumes are
comprised of naturally derived and safe synthetic ingredients.
We strategically blend botanical-based and lab-made ingredients
to ensure our perfumes are safe and hypoallergenic.
Fragrance accords represent a realm of creativity for
perfumers, as they artfully blend three or four scent
notes to forge a cohesive and unique aroma. For instance,
an "ocean waves" accord might combine various aquatic
and salty elements to evoke the feeling of a day by the shore.
Letting perfume age or macerate for a few days before
use can significantly enhance their fragrance profile.
Just like a fine wine, many perfumes benefit from a brief
period of rest after being blended. This maturation allows
the various notes—top, middle, and base—to harmonize,
creating a more balanced and cohesive scent. When a perfume
is freshly mixed, the volatile compounds can sometimes overshadow
the deeper, richer undertones. By allowing it to sit undisturbed, the
fragrance can evolve, shedding any sharp initial edges and allowing
the softer notes to emerge, resulting in a more refined olfactory
experience. Whether for personal use or to allow a creation to reach
its full potential, this simple act of patience can transform a beautiful
scent into something truly captivating.
Additionally, due to the presence of vanilla, the perfume may develop
a darker color over time. However, this does NOT affect the performance
of the perfume.
The base that you choose can subtly alter the scent.
Oil bases enhance the deeper base notes and age
gracefully, while alcohol highlights the lighter, fresher
top notes and spices.
Oil-based fragrances wear closer to the skin than alcohol-based

Oil-based fragrances provide a subtle, personal scent. Applied to pulse
points, they create a soft "halo" of fragrance close to the skin. Choose
oil-based fragrances if you prefer a subtle, intimate fragrance experience.
Alcohol-based fragrances offer a stronger, more noticeable projection.
They are designed for wider scent dispersal. Choose alcohol-based
fragrances if you prefer a stronger, room-filling scent.
Body chemistry, skin type, diet, and even the
weather can affect how a fragrance develops
on your skin.
Often, the essence of a fragrance is more about the person
than the perfume itself. Over time, our tastes and preferences
naturally evolve, and after wearing the same scent for a while,
you may find yourself growing weary of it without realizing.
Changes in your diet or lifestyle can also alter your body chemistry,
influencing how a fragrance interacts with your skin, and as we age,
various factors will affect its scent profile—sometimes positively,
sometimes negatively. However, there are occasions when it truly is
the perfume at fault. If a fragrance smells markedly different from
how you initially remembered, it might have surpassed its ideal shelf
life of three to five years.

7. Perfume Application
Yes. Hair is excellent for carrying fragrance.
Our 4 oz. Eau de Parfum spray is perfect to use
as hair perfume, as it has no alcohol in the formula.
To ensure your perfume lasts all day, follow these tips:
Cleanse Your Skin: Start with a shower oil or body wash
that complements the notes in the parfum that you are wearing.
Hydrate Your Skin and Layer Your Scent: After showering,
use a body cream or body oil in the same scent or a scent having
similar notes as your perfume. Be sure to apply moisturizer or
body oil before applying fragrance. Perfume adheres best to
hydrated skin.
Target Pulse Points: Apply fragrance to skin and clothing.
Touch-Ups on the Go: During the course of the day, it is
natural for fragrance to fade. Carry a travel-sized bottle for
easy fragrance touch-ups throughout the day.
Do not apply fragrance on genitals, open wounds or
sensitive areas and be sure to keep it away from your
eyes and mouth.
Spraying perfume into the air and then walking into a
“perfume cloud” will certainly impart some scent, but
it greatly reduces the amount of product that ends up
on your skin, making it less impactful. Your best bet is
to apply fragrance directly onto your skin. If you want a
little extra aura, add a bit to your hair.
8. Perfume Safety and Ethics
Glam Fumes is a 100% cruelty-free brand, and as
such, does not conduct animal testing of any kind.
We prioritize your health and the environment.
All our fragrances adhere to IFRA guidelines,
ensuring they are safe for your skin.
9. Perfume Storage, Expiration, and Spoilage
To maximize the lifespan of your fragrances, store them
in a cool, dark place, away from sunlight and extreme
heat. Perfume oils can last approximately 3-5 years
(or longer) before natural scent components may begin
to fade. However, we suggest that you use your fragrance
within 1 year. Light, heat, and variations in temperature
and exposure to oxygen can cause a fragrance to deteriorate
over time.
Generally, perfumes improve with age, regardless of their
format.
This discoloration over time is typical for perfumes
that include clean and natural ingredients. It will not
affect the fragrance in any way.
